The Prisoner of Azkaban has a director. Alfonso Cuaron is going to be the director for the 3rd installment in the Harry Potter series.

No Peeves in The Chamber of Secrets. Rik Mayall, who would have played the prankster, is not appearing in this movie. Peeves was cut from the first Potter film but was not even written into th 2nd installment. There is no word on whether he will appear in any of the other Potter films.

The Birmingham Evening Mail has received a report that Zoe Wanamaker's character, Madam Hooch, has been written out of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets after she complained that the actors were severely underpaid. Apparently, she is the only member of the original cast not to be in the sequel. She is rumored to have earned a mere £40,000 for her role in the first Harry Potter movie.
- Well, if this is true, it's a shame. Zoe really had Hooch down well. Eh, well, she was lucky to be in the Potter movie. I wouldn't be complaining, regardless of pay!!

I got wind of some DVD information. HP Galleries has some pics of the screens where you can choose different things to do. There will also be a Nimbus edition of the DVD - complete with Mirror of Erised DVD container, a mini Nimbus, a flying license and more! This will definitely be something you want!
The DVD hits shelves (or will it just be gone that quick?) on May 28th, 2002! Get ready to run!

I've got a new picture from Chamber of Secrets. It's of Dan...and I'll post it in the Dates to Remember thing right beside the News.
As for other news, uhhh, well, HP and the PS got nominated for Best Feature Film - Drama in the Young Artist Awards. We'll have to see how that plays out.

I just saw Access Hollywood and they announced the Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone DVD will be coming out MAY 28TH!!!!! It contains never before seen footage. Well, one scene's been seen because they showed it.
What happened?
Scene: In the Great Hall. I guess it's after Seamus has that accident in Charms. He goes up to the other students
Seamus: If any of you have cared to notice, my eyebrows have completely grown back! (He points with both hands to his eyebrows)
He turns around and there is a patch of hair missing from the back of his head.
I'll love to see that in the movie!
